I’m excited about this recipe because it replaces a common staple: bread! The best part is it’s gluten free, and low carb too.
What are Chaffles?
Cheese + Waffles = Chaffles. Basically it’s 2 ingrdients; Cheese and Egg. They are made in a waffle maker many different ways. You can make them savory or sweet, crispier or softer. However, since I’m in the process of going diary free, I was struggling to find a good substitute for cheese. I tried making them with diary free cheese… yuck. Then today someone in a Chaffle Facebook group (yes, there’s several groups devoted to Chaffle recipes!) suggested mayo, and it worked great!
