Slow and steady wins the race, so they say. This week I’m down another 1.8 lbs. This brings my total weight loss to date to 31.8 lbs. Considering I’ve been able to do this without exercise I think the 1-2lbs a week is okay. I think I’ve lost enough now to make exercise easier, so I’m going to start to ease into that now.
The only lingering symptom I have from the ESG is when my stomach has been empty for hours it starts to hurt. It feels like really strong, painful hunger pains. It will even wake me up at night when I’m sleeping. For some reason sleeping on my left side seems to make things worse. I have tried eating protein before bed, drinking water when it wakes me up, and taking gaviscon before bed. Nothing seems to work other than eating something when it happens. But I don’t really like waking up at 3:00am and needing to eat. Hopefully I figure this out soon.
