I created this site to document and share my personal ESG (Endoscopic Sleeve Gastroplasty) experience with others. I have had quite the ride on this journey, having my first ESG in September 2019 that ended in failed sutures, to having a second at a different clinic in January 2020. Again, the sutures failed, confirmed by barrium swallow, then later by endoscopy.
Update 6/12/2023: Two and a half years after my second ESG, I decided to move on to other weight loss options, and put ESG behind me. In April of 2022 I had a sleeve gastrectomy done in Mexico, and couldn’t be happier with it. I still have full restriction over 1 year later! I have had no bad side effects, heart burn, or dumping. Recovery from it was actually easier for me than either ESG (which I suspect is due to not having the pain associated with stitches slowly pulling through).
